Pirkan opisto may discontinue an ongoing course, if the number of attending students repeatedly drops below the minimum group size.
Decisions on discontinuations are made on a case-by-case basis. If a course that is scheduled to last for the entire academic year is discontinued, the class may meet for another two sessions after the decision to discontinue has been made.
On shorter courses, the two-session closing time does not apply, and group activities are discontinued immediately after the decision to discontinue has been made.
If a course has to be discontinued due to a decrease in the number of participants, students may receive a partial refund of the course fee.
